On the afternoon of October 7, in Hanoi, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, received British Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew.

Appreciating the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the UK law enforcement agencies, Minister Luong Tam Quang and the Ambassador emphasized that the two sides have achieved many positive cooperation results in the following areas: coordinating to verify criminal information related to citizens of the two countries; fighting against organizations that smuggle illegal immigrants; training and improving the capacity of Vietnamese police officers...

Minister Luong Tam Quang and Ambassador Iain Frew agreed to increase consultation, support and assistance to each other at international forums that both sides participate in, especially forums on non-traditional security threats, cyber security and international terrorism prevention, money laundering, and counterfeiting.

The two sides will promote the exchange of delegations at all levels between British law enforcement agencies and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to share information and experience in preventing and combating crimes; coordinate in investigating and arresting wanted criminals related to citizens of the two countries hiding in the two countries; closely coordinate to ensure security and safety of representative offices, high-level delegations and citizens of one country living and working in the other country.
