Container truck fire, temporarily closing Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway

In the early morning of October 9, a container truck suddenly caught fire on the Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet highway, passing Km181 (Luong Son commune, Lam Dong province), causing temporary traffic disruption.

At the time of the incident, the container truck was traveling north-south when the driver noticed smoke and flames coming from the front of the truck. The driver immediately pulled the truck to the side of the road and promptly left the cabin to escape. The fire then quickly engulfed and burned the front of the truck and spread to the container.

Upon receiving the news, Lam Dong Province Fire Prevention and Fighting Force mobilized specialized vehicles and officers to the scene to control the fire. Traffic police from Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Public Security ) and the highway management unit were also present in time to regulate traffic.

During the incident handling, a part of the highway (the area near the National Highway 28B intersection) was temporarily closed, vehicles were directed to temporarily travel via National Highway 28B to avoid congestion. Up to now, the scene has been handled, traffic through the area has returned to normal.
