Implementing the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2021-2025 period, Lam Dong has been granted a total budget of VND 20.2 billion; total disbursed budget of VND 17.9 billion; canceled budget of VND 1.4 billion; total undisbursed budget of VND 896 million extended to 2025.

Implementing Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" within the Program, over the past 5 years, the province has supported 74 sets of equipment for village and hamlet cultural houses, built 47 community bookcases in communes in 9/10 districts and cities in the province (except Bao Loc); preserved intangible cultural heritages: Restoring the Nho Phu Festival (praying for crops) in Dung K'No commune - Lac Duong; Nho Duong Festival (praying for rain) in Da Long commune - Dam Rong; built 3 models of traditional cultural villages in Di Linh, Lac Duong, Don Duong; organized exhibitions and displays to introduce traditional culture; Participated in the exhibition "Traveling through Vietnam's heritage and scenic spots" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 2024), participated in the 7th Then singing and Tinh lute art festival of the Tay, Nung, and Thai ethnic groups at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism; participated in the Festival "Returning to the Vi and Giam regions - Connecting the quintessence of heritage" in Ha Tinh, published 3 books: "Lam Dong folk literature - volume 1 - K'ho tales", Lam Dong K'ho people - Multidimensional approach, Lam Dong folk literature - volume 2 - Ma ethnic tales. Supported 12 excellent artisans to train and foster the next generation of gong artisans; organized 23 classes to teach traditional musical instruments; supported costumes and musical instruments for 131 folk art teams of villages and communes in ethnic minority areas.

In addition, over the past 5 years, the province has invested 51.4 billion VND in projects to preserve typical traditional villages and hamlets; build cultural houses and village sports areas; and build typical tourist destinations in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

The National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025 - 2035 includes 7 general goals, 9 specific target groups by 2030, 9 specific goals by 2035. The program is also designed to include 10 components. With a total implementation cost of 256,250 billion VND, implemented nationwide and in some countries, over a period of 11 years, divided into 3 phases.

Implementing the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025 - 2035, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong proposed a budget of 5.9 billion VND to implement the contents of the Program. In addition, the Department also proposed a funding source to support upgrading and supplementing investment in cultural and artistic institutions, ensuring service for a large Lam Dong province after the merger. Specifically, additional investment capital to upgrade the Provincial Cultural and Art Center to match its stature; investing resources in the National Monument of Da Lat Children's Prison and the National Monument of Cat Tien Archaeological Site to promote values; investing in upgrading the database on heritage and art to both preserve, store and promote values.

Speaking at the end of the meeting, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Lam Dong is honored to be chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a survey site to implement the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025 - 2035. He requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong to coordinate with departments and branches to exchange, give opinions, closely follow reality, and advise the People's Committee accurately to mobilize resources to implement the Program in a timely and effective manner.

Resources are an important factor for development, and we want to have cultural institutions at the stadium to become a complete complex. In the near future, we will plan a 300ha area, like a new urban area, creating a new development space, with a large square, a theater space, and a large academy to meet the requirements of a UNESCO Creative City of Music. From there, we will meet the requirements of both preserving the heritage values of Da Lat and developing.
Lam Dong always hopes to receive support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to gradually perfect cultural institutions, develop cultural industries, and effectively implement the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025 - 2035.
