This is a practical activity with profound humanistic meaning, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire Culture, Sports and Tourism sector.

Attending the ceremony were Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh; along with representatives of leaders of units under the ministry and a large number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the industry.

Last September, four consecutive strong storms occurred in the East Sea, of which storms No. 9 and No. 10 seriously affected the lives of people in many localities in the Northern and North Central regions. Natural disasters have left behind tragic consequences, causing great loss of life and property, requiring the joint efforts of the whole society to support and help people stabilize their lives and restore production.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh deeply shared and sympathized with the losses and difficulties of people in flood-hit areas. The Deputy Minister emphasized: “In difficult times, the tradition of mutual love of our nation has once again been rekindled and spread strongly. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched a donation campaign with a minimum of one day's salary to demonstrate the responsibility and deep sharing of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire sector towards people affected by natural disasters.”

The Deputy Minister called on cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the industry to uphold the tradition of “helping each other”, actively participating in voluntary support and taking practical actions. “No matter how big or small the donation is, it is a valuable source of spiritual encouragement, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties, restore their lives and develop production,” emphasized Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh.

At the same time, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh also requested each cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker in the industry to spread this spirit of humanity to colleagues, friends and relatives to mobilize wider support, contributing to joining hands with the whole society to share with people in disaster areas.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will send a notice to agencies and units in the industry to deploy donations and support people affected by storm No. 10. The entire amount of donations will be compiled, reported to the Ministry's leaders and expected to be handed over directly to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as soon as possible.

The organization of the fundraising campaign to support people affected by natural disasters by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is a vivid demonstration of the tradition of solidarity and humanity of our nation, a practical action contributing to the whole country joining hands to overcome difficulties and build an increasingly developed and prosperous country.
