Prime Minister praises Border Guard and Police for destroying large drug ring

(Chinhphu.vn) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a letter of commendation to the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control, Border Guard Command, Ministry of National Defense and the Department of Drug Crime Investigation, Ministry of Public Security for dismantling a drug trafficking ring, illegally transporting 777.7 kg of drugs from abroad into Vietnam.

On September 21, 2025, the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control, Border Guard Command, Ministry of National Defense and the Department of Drug Crime Investigation, Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Border Guard Commands of the provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Tinh and the Police of the provinces: Phu Tho, Dong Nai to successfully organize the fight against Project A825p to destroy a transnational drug trafficking and transportation ring from abroad into Vietnam with a large volume, arresting and detaining 20 subjects, seizing 777.7 kg of synthetic drugs and many related exhibits and documents, ensuring absolute safety.

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister warmly congratulated, commended and highly appreciated the achievements and special achievements of you comrades. Your achievements have demonstrated the spirit of initiative, determination in attacking and suppressing crime, bravery, intelligence, cleverness, close and effective coordination between the Army and the Police in the fight against drug crimes, contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, protecting the peaceful and happy life of the people.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to promptly commend and propose worthy commendations for groups and individuals directly involved in solving cases; to widely propagate, learn from and follow the spirit of determination and fierce fighting against crime of the Border Guard and Public Security units in the past; at the same time, continue to direct the forces to step up the fight against all types of crimes, especially transnational drug crimes, to prevent drugs from entering Vietnam, contributing to protecting the safety and happiness of the people.
