Ministry of Construction will start and inaugurate 16 projects on December 19

(Chinhphu.vn) - The Ministry of Construction plans to start 4 projects and complete 12 projects by December 19.

The Than Vu Tunnel completion project on the Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway is one of four projects that will start construction on December 19.

At the October 2025 meeting of the Ministry of Construction on November 11, Mr. Le Quyet Tien, Director of the Department of Economics - Construction Investment Management, said that on December 19, the Ministry of Construction plans to start and inaugurate 16 projects.

Of these, 4 projects are expected to start construction, including: Expanding the Cam Lo - La Son section; Completing the Than Vu tunnel; Expanding the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong - My Thuan expressway; and the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway.

12 projects are expected to be inaugurated, including: North-South Expressway, Eastern section: Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon; Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh; Chi Thanh - Van Phong; Can Tho - Hau Giang , Hau Giang - Ca Mau.

Along with that are the projects: Component 2 project of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway; Cao Lanh - Lo Te, Lo Te - Rach Soi; Expanding some bridges and tunnels on National Highway 1; Improving Quy Nhon channel for 50,000DWT ships; Project to upgrade Cai Mep - Thi Vai channel from buoy number "0" to Cai Mep container port area.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction, the Ministry of Construction has issued a document requesting ministries, branches, People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to review and register to start construction and inaugurate projects on December 19. Up to now, the Department of Construction Investment and Management has received registration documents from 30 agencies and units (6/17 ministries, 13/34 localities, 11 corporations and companies) with a total of 60 projects (36 projects started construction, 24 projects inaugurated) scheduled to start construction and inaugurate.
