The Ministry of Health appraised 16 special technical categories at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2.

The appraisal team included 13 members, including professors, doctors, and masters from the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management; Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment; Department of Legislation ( Ministry of Health ); along with representatives of Lao Cai Department of Health, leading experts from Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital.

These are all special techniques, requiring high expertise, modern equipment systems and a team of doctors with specialized practice certificates. The Ministry of Health 's assessment and approval to deploy these techniques is an important step forward, affirming the professional capacity of Lao Cai General Hospital No. 2, which has approached the standards of central hospitals. When officially approved and deployed, people in Lao Cai and neighboring provinces will have access to high-tech services right in the locality, significantly reducing costs and transfer times, while improving the ability to promptly treat severe and acute cases.

Speaking at the working session, the representative of the Ministry of Health's appraisal delegation highly appreciated the thorough investment in facilities, human resources and specialized development orientation of Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2, considering it one of the models of Grade I provincial hospitals with comprehensive and sustainable development in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.
