Therefore, Coach Nguyen Trong Linh continued to arrange the strongest starting lineup. At the beginning of the first set, the U21 Vietnam women's volleyball team was a bit confused and fell behind 4-7. However, they adjusted very quickly, improved the first step and launched effective attacks.
From there, they scored a series of 11 points to lead 15-7. Because of the huge gap, although Dominican Republic tried to fight back at the end of the set, U21 Vietnam still won 25-19.
In set 2, the Southeast Asian representative continued to show their superior level and class. This time, they were the team that took the lead 8-4.
In contrast to their opponents, U21 Vietnam maintained good concentration, had good attacks and blocked the ball well. They continued to win 25-17 in this set.
In set 3, Dominican Republic tried to extend the series of chasing and pulling points. But U21 Vietnam was still the team that dominated the game. When leading 12-11, the Vietnamese girls started to speed up with long scoring streaks and then continued to win set 3 with a score of 25-17.
Winning quickly in 3 sets, the Vietnam U21 women's volleyball team officially said goodbye to the U21 Women's Volleyball World Cup with the final ranking of 19th.
