In the first set, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team started the game quite slowly when Australia took the lead, but Thanh Thuy's valuable points helped us find our rhythm. From then on, the game completely belonged to coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team, the gap was increasingly widened while the Oceania representative was helpless. Vietnam had a 25-11 victory in the first set, leading 1-0.
In set 2, the game was not much different from set 1 when the Vietnamese women's volleyball team with their superior strength still completely dominated. The diverse playing style of the Vietnamese girls made it impossible for the Australian players, despite their good height, to keep up with the blockers and continuously had to endure "raining points" from us. Thanh Thuy and her teammates continued to prevent their opponents from "reaching the top", taking a 2-0 lead and getting very close to the final victory.
The Australian team played with great effort in set 3 and succeeded in keeping up with Vietnam in the early stages, but later on, the representative from Oceania could not stop a strong Bich Tuyen from continuously scoring points. The victory was relatively quick and easy as usual for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team.
In the end, Vietnam beat Australia 3-0 (25-11; 25-14; 25-15) and became the only team at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 to win all matches in the group stage.
Thus, the 4 teams entering the semi-finals of the AVC Nations Cup 2025 have been determined: Vietnam - Kazakhstan; Philippines - Taiwan (China).
The remaining teams will not be eliminated immediately but will compete in the classification round from 5 to 11. The classification round and semi-final matches of this year's AVC Nations Cup will take place from June 13.
