Thai football aims to win all 4 gold medals at SEA Games 33

(Dan Tri) - The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) set a huge goal at the 33rd SEA Games in 2025, which is to win all 4 gold medals (HCV) in 4 different events in football.

At the 33rd SEA Games, host Thailand will organize 4 events in football, including men's football, women's football, men's futsal and women's futsal. The men's football event will be for players aged 22 and above.

In all four football events, one of the biggest opponents of host Thailand is the Vietnamese team.

For example, in the men's football event, U23 Vietnam just won the U23 Southeast Asian Championship. The members of U23 Vietnam participating in the recent regional tournament will most likely be the core of the Vietnamese men's football team participating in the 33rd SEA Games.

In women's football, the Vietnamese women's team is the defending champion. At the same time, our girls have won the SEA Games gold medal four times in a row (2017, 2019, 2022 and 2023, a record).

Therefore, FAT's registration of the target of 4 football gold medals with the Thai Olympic Committee on August 4 was a bold move by the football managers of the Land of the Golden Temple.

The 33rd SEA Games will take place in December this year, with a total of 574 medals to be awarded. The host sports delegation of Thailand set a target of 234 gold medals, equivalent to nearly 40% of the total number of gold medals at the entire Games.
