"Vietnam is one of the countries with the most passionate passion for football that I have ever witnessed," said Mr. Ivan Codina - Managing Director of La Liga Asia - Pacific region at the opening event of the cooperation workshop between Spain's top league and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) today (January 10).
La Liga is one of the major partners of VFF. Training, exchange and cooperation programs with Spanish football are expected to create a bridge to help Vietnamese football get closer to the world's top football environment.
Most recently, the workshop held at the VFF headquarters was a program to update youth football training methods, for coaches who are working in youth training at clubs and national youth teams, to improve the professional qualifications and skills of the football coaching team in Vietnam.
“I truly believe that this initiative will bring us closer to our common goal of contributing to the exponential growth we are seeing for Vietnamese football,” added Mr. Codina.

At the workshop, coaches in charge of youth training in Vietnam such as Hoang Anh Tuan, Pham Thanh Luong... openly discussed professional issues with Spanish experts. Some stories specific to Vietnamese football also created new and interesting situations for coaches from other countries.
“The Vietnam Football Federation hopes that the workshop will be a premise for meaningful programs and activities, bringing practical benefits to the development of Vietnamese football and LaLiga,” said Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of VFF.
“The Vietnam Football Federation is consistent in its viewpoint of maximizing all resources for the development of Vietnamese football, including resources from the cooperative relationship between Vietnamese football and international football organizations. In fact, national football teams, especially youth football, have had the opportunity to participate in valuable training programs, which are good opportunities for players to learn and accumulate experience to prepare for the future, while also creating opportunities for Vietnamese football to get closer to advanced football backgrounds in the world.”
