A lifelong career devoted to shooting
Coach Nguyen Thi Nhung has devoted her entire life to the development of Vietnamese shooting. Since she was an athlete, she has shown outstanding talent. After that, she was sent to the Soviet Union for intensive training, creating a solid foundation for her future coaching career.
Coach Nguyen Thi Nhung is the teacher of shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh.
Returning to Vietnam, Ms. Nhung continued to be involved in shooting in many important positions, including the role of Head of the Shooting Department (General Department of Sports and Physical Training) and Head Coach of the Vietnam Shooting Team. In addition, she also held the position of Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Shooting Federation in the previous term, contributing to the strong development of shooting in the country and in the international arena.
During her time as head coach of the national shooting team, coach Nguyen Thi Nhung led the team to many impressive achievements. Under her training, Vietnamese shooters continuously won Southeast Asian and world championships. The peak of the "steel rose"'s career was the 2016 Rio Olympics, when, together with expert Park Chung-gun, she directly coached shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh to win 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and break the Olympic record. This achievement not only brought glory to Vietnamese shooting but also marked a historical milestone for the country's sports in the international arena.

After retiring, Coach Nguyen Thi Nhung continued to make important contributions to the development of Vietnamese shooting.
