BSR maximizes savings in production operations, making billions in profit

Thanks to the application of reasonable solutions to save and thoroughly reduce in production operations, over the past years BSR has saved billions of dong.

On December 9, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) said that the unit has thousands of cost-saving solutions in production operations, including frequently applied solutions such as: Waste heat recovery; heat recovery; improving electricity production efficiency; improving boiler efficiency, reducing fuel gas usage...

The most prominent of the above solutions is the implementation of the PM-5207A motor inverter system, which has saved more than half a million kWh. The solution to optimize operations by optimizing the loads receiving power from the pump system and compressors working in parallel while still ensuring stability and reliability for the load systems has saved 26 million kWh of electricity each year.

In particular, the optimal solution for the operating mode of the seawater cooling system helps increase the working efficiency of the equipment, save energy for the entire factory, and has great technical and beneficial value.

The solution to optimize the operating mode for the seawater pumping system (3 pumps instead of 4 pumps) has brought great economic efficiency. The solution has been applied since January 2021, saving about 1.9 million USD/year; in 2022, saving about 44 billion VND. In 2023 and the parameters recorded in the first 9 months of 2024, the solution saved 3,043 tons of FO oil/year, equivalent to a reduction in _CO2 emissions of 9,828 tons/year; reduced EII by 0.560939%; the value of benefits reached more than 1.82 million USD/year...
