In 2020, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the tailor shop had few customers, so Ms. Huyen had to quit her job. Due to difficulties, Ms. Huyen applied to work as a product inspector at a garment company in Dong Vinh ward, Thanh Hoa city.

According to Ms. Huyen, the work at the company is too hard, "killing" time, she leaves home at 7am, many days working overtime until 9pm. Working hard, working overtime for a whole month but the salary received is still limited to enough for family expenses.

"My husband is a driver, he is away all day. If I continue working, I will also be away from dawn to dusk, with no one to take care of the children, and their studies will decline," Huyen confided.

While struggling to find a new job, through a friend, Ms. Huyen accidentally learned about a free training class in hairdressing, nail, makeup... under the project "Beauty to live - Live to be beautiful" at the Center for Support and Development of Women in Thanh Hoa province.

Although she loves to make herself and others beautiful, Ms. Huyen was still hesitant because she was 40 years old and just started learning the profession. However, with the encouragement of her family and other women, Ms. Huyen decided to register and submit her application for an interview.

"Love the job, the job will not let you down", the small hair salon gives Ms. Huyen a stable income of 14 - 15 million VND/month. During holidays and Tet, the income will double, even triple. With this job, Ms. Huyen has more time for herself, taking care of her family.

Having lost her job at the age of 36, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, Quang Binh commune, Quang Xuong district, was introduced by the Women's Union of the commune to study beauty. According to Ms. Thu, each job has its own hardships. Although hairdressing, nail and makeup are hard, they still work in a cool environment, the work is light, and you can control your time. The biggest requirement of this job is to be meticulous, hardworking and creative.

Ms. Thu plans to open a hair salon in her hometown after finishing the course in a month. She hopes that the small hair salon will help her have a stable income and raise her two children who are still in school age with her husband.
