BYD Atto 2 is about to be sold in Vietnam, around 700 million
According to some sources, the BYD Atto 2 electric car model will officially launch in the Vietnamese market in early July 2025.

As previously rumored, the new BYD Atto 2 2025 small electric SUV is about to be sold in the Vietnamese market. According to some sources, this model will officially launch in Vietnam in early July 2025. Currently, BYD dealers in Vietnam have also started accepting deposits for Atto 2. Thus, this will be the third new model of BYD to launch in Vietnam in 2025, after Sealion 6 and Sealion 8. By the end of this year, BYD is expected to introduce the large MPV M9 to Vietnamese customers.
The BYD Atto 2 is known as the Yuan Up in the domestic Chinese market. This model was first launched in the global market in February 2024 and is positioned between the BYD Dolphin and Atto 3. Belonging to the B-size SUV segment, BYD Atto 2 has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,310 x 1,830 x 1,675 mm and a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. With these dimensions, BYD's rookie is equivalent to VinFast VF6 in Vietnam. On the outside, the BYD Atto 2 has a design like a miniature version of its predecessor, the Atto 3. The car has a sporty , strong design style thanks to the black details on the front/rear bumpers and sides. Similar to the exterior, the interior of the BYD Atto 2 is also reminiscent of the Atto 3, especially in the layout. The car has outstanding equipment such as an 8.8-inch digital dashboard, a 12.8-inch central touch screen that can rotate 90 degrees, leather seats and automatic air conditioning.
Most of the BYD Atto 2's features are controlled via the infotainment screen. The ADAS advanced driver assistance system is optional. According to information from BYD dealer, Atto 2 will be equipped with an electric motor located on the front axle, generating a maximum capacity of 174 horsepower and maximum torque of 290 Nm. The electric motor is paired with a 45.12 kWh battery, providing a driving range of 401 km according to China's CLTC standard and 312 km according to Europe's WLTP standard. In addition, this Chinese electric car also supports DC fast charging with a maximum charging capacity of 65 kW.
Thanks to that, the charging time of the BYD Atto 2 from 10% to 80% is shortened to 37 minutes. Meanwhile, the time to fully charge the battery using an 11 kW AC slow charger mounted on the wall is about 5.5 hours. The price of BYD Atto 2 in Vietnam is expected to start from 669 million VND, putting this model in direct competition with VinFast VF6, which is being distributed at prices ranging from 689 to 749 million VND. Currently, BYD's product portfolio in Vietnam will include a total of 8 models, in addition to Dolphin, Atto 3, Seal, Han, M6, Sealion 6 and Sealion 8.
