On the morning of June 30, many people shared their residence information on the VNeID application, which was updated according to post-merger data.
Accordingly, instead of displaying according to the old structure of commune/ward, district/city, province/city, the address is edited according to the new standard. At the same time, the data also changes according to the new information after the merger.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hoang (residing in the new Gia Lai province) shared that his permanent residence information on VNeID has been updated, from town to commune and the province has changed from Binh Dinh to Gia Lai.
"It feels strange to see the name of my province change, but I hope that this change will bring positive impacts, especially in improving administrative procedures for people," said Mr. Hoang.
VNeID has updated Binh Dinh province to Gia Lai province.
Mr. Truong Thanh Long (residing in the new Vinh Long province), said that VNeID has updated the new address, from Ben Tre province to Vinh Long province.
"Although it is a bit surprising, I hope these changes will bring new conveniences to the people," said Mr. Long.
Although many people have confirmed that VNeID has updated the new address, some people still have not seen the change.
In addition, many people have difficulty viewing new addresses on VNeID because the system reports errors such as "Connection to the system failed", "Request cannot be executed" or "System is under maintenance".
Besides, they also cannot retrieve the password because the system just stops in the loading state.
People have difficulty accessing VNeID to see their new address.
How to view new address and hometown information on VNeID:
Step 1: Log in to VNeID application
Step 2: Select “Paper Wallet”
Step 3: Select “Residence Information”
Step 4: Enter password
Step 5: View residence information.
