Found nearly 19 million VND, female cleaner still returned it to the owner despite difficulties

(DN) - A female janitor in difficult circumstances twice picked up valuable assets worth up to 10 taels of gold and nearly 70 million VND, but both times she proactively returned them to the person who lost them.

Ms. Truc returned the money she found to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, Deputy Director of Thanh Son 1 Petroleum Company Limited, to find the person to return it.

On June 30, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Director of Thanh Son 1 Petroleum Company Limited (Quang Trung Commune, Thong Nhat District) said that the company is coordinating with local police to notify and search for the person who lost the property.

Previously, at around 11pm on June 26, while cleaning the company's women's restroom, Ms. Le Hoang Nha Thanh Truc (50 years old, residing in Vo Dong 1 Hamlet, Gia Kiem Commune, Thong Nhat District) picked up a small cloth bag. Inside was a total of VND18,800,000 in cash. Immediately afterwards, Ms. Truc reported the incident and handed over the entire amount to the company's board of directors to find a way to return it to the owner.

It is known that Ms. Truc is currently a janitor for the company, with a salary of about 5 million VND/month. Her family is in a difficult situation in the locality, her husband is old, has an unstable job, while she and her husband are raising a daughter who is studying at university in Ho Chi Minh City.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Ms. Truc still chose to act honestly, loyally, and not covet lost property, demonstrating the valuable qualities of a worker.

Notably, in June 2022, Ms. Truc also picked up a handbag containing 10 gold bars and more than 50 million VND in cash while cleaning. At that time, she also proactively reported and returned the property to the company's Board of Directors to return to the person who lost it.
