Taxpayers are not required to change their address according to the new administrative area list on the business registration certificate.

(DN) - Deputy Head of the Tax Department of Region XV Nguyen Toan Thang has just announced to taxpayers in Dong Nai province about updating taxpayer address information according to the new administrative area and the tax authority directly managing the taxpayer.

According to the announcement, the tax authority will update the taxpayer's address information on the tax industry's database system according to the new 2-level administrative area list (provincial and communal levels). The tax industry does not require taxpayers to adjust the information on the business registration certificate.

The notice of the Tax Department of Region XV is the basis for taxpayers to explain to relevant agencies or to customers in case the address on the invoice is the address updated by the tax authority according to the new administrative area list but the information on the business registration certificate is still the address according to the old administrative area list. In case taxpayers need to update the business registration certificate, taxpayers are requested to carry out the prescribed procedures with the business registration authority.
