Up to now, the Department has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue 03 important norms, including: Economic and technical norms for land statistics, inventory and mapping of current land use status (Decision No. 22/2025/QD-UBND dated May 26, 2025); Economic and technical norms for building land database (Decision No. 26/2025/QD-UBND dated June 15, 2025); Economic and technical norms for land valuation in Bac Lieu province (Decision No. 39/2025/QD-UBND dated April 24, 2025).
At the same time, the Department is continuing to advise on the development, completion and submission of many other fundamental norms such as: norms for land valuation, land investigation and assessment, norms for planning and adjusting land use plans, as well as norms for surveying and mapping, land registration, establishing cadastral records and issuing land use right certificates. These drafts have been appraised by the Department of Justice, qualified for approval and are currently being completed to be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for promulgation in the coming time.

In the context of administrative unit merger between Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces, the work of reviewing, adjusting, consolidating and promulgating a new system of norms is of particular importance, in order to ensure consistency, synchronization and suitability with the scale and scope of management in the province after the merger. The Department of Land Management has proactively proposed a plan to inherit, update and consolidate current norms, as a basis for building a unified set of norms, effectively serving the state management of natural resources and environment.
The completion of the economic and technical norms system not only contributes to standardizing professional processes and improving the efficiency of land management, but also serves as an important basis for budgeting, managing, and using the state budget economically, publicly, transparently, and effectively. Thereby, creating a foundation for implementing professional and technical tasks of the sector in the new period, meeting the requirements of resource management, environmental protection, and sustainable socio-economic development of the province./.
