Implementing the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" as the foundation for new rural construction

The movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” is a major policy of the Party and the State, widely deployed throughout the country, contributing to building civilized and united people and communities. For Ca Mau - the southernmost land of the Fatherland, where over 70% of the population lives on agriculture, this movement not only has spiritual significance, but is also a driving force to promote production, protect the environment and build sustainable new rural areas.

The movement is concretized by the Department of Agriculture and Environment through activities related to rural life: from developing safe production, applying science and technology, protecting land, water and forest resources, to building "green - clean - beautiful" landscapes. The titles "Cultural family", "Cultural hamlet and quarter" are associated with the criteria of "living in harmony with nature, environmentally friendly production", contributing to raising public awareness of developing ecological agriculture and protecting the living environment.

Implementing the movement "Ca Mau joins hands to build new rural areas", the Department of Agriculture and Environment has effectively integrated programs and projects such as: restructuring the agricultural sector, protecting the rural environment, developing the green economy , and responding to climate change. Typical models that have been replicated include: "Self-managed residential areas to protect the environment", "Safe residential areas - responding to natural disasters", "Green, clean, beautiful new rural areas", "Collecting waste, planting trees, not littering in rivers, canals, and ditches". These models have spread widely, becoming a way of life and a beautiful cultural feature of Ca Mau's countryside.

Green - Clean - Beautiful environmental landscape

The movement “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas” is associated with the motto “The State and the People work together”. People donate land and contribute labor to build roads, bridges, schools, and cultural institutions; at the same time, actively participate in protecting the landscape and ecological environment, proactively respond to climate change, participate in natural disaster prevention and search and rescue.

According to the report, up to now, the whole province has 94.8% of cultural families; 86% of cultural hamlets and quarters; 60/64 communes and wards have Cultural - Sports Centers, 1,213/1,395 hamlets have Cultural Houses - Sports Areas. These places of activities are also points of propaganda, dissemination of agricultural techniques, protection of natural resources and environment, helping people access more quickly to policies, laws on sustainable development.

From that foundation, the new rural construction program achieved positive results: 43/55 communes met the standards, including 03 advanced new rural communes, 01 model commune; The rural landscape is bright - green - clean - beautiful, the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved.

Comrade Le Minh Y, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee, presented the decision recognizing Dong Hung commune as meeting the new rural standards.
