Department of Agriculture and Environment promotes thrift practice and anti-waste by 2025

Implementing the Government's overall program and the Plan of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province on practicing thrift and combating waste in 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has synchronously deployed many solutions in direction and operation, aiming to improve the efficiency of using the budget, public assets and resources of the unit.

Right from the beginning of the year, the Department issued a Plan to practice thrift and combat waste in 2025, thoroughly disseminating it to all civil servants, public employees and workers. The dissemination and popularization of laws on practicing thrift and combating waste are integrated into Party cell meetings, thematic activities and conferences to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. According to the report, by October 13, 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment had saved 457.2 million VND compared to the assigned estimate. The management and use of public assets, working means and equipment are strictly implemented, for the right purposes, in accordance with standards and regulations on bidding and price appraisal. In addition, the Department continues to promote administrative reform, sending and receiving electronic documents via the iOffice system, official email, and official Zalo application to reduce the cost of printing and photocopying unnecessary documents.

Practicing thrift and fighting waste are important solutions to improve management efficiency and economic development.

Promoting the achieved results, in the last months of 2026, the Department of Agriculture and Environment determined to focus on synchronously implementing key tasks to improve the effectiveness of thrift practice and anti-waste in the whole industry, specifically: Continue to promote propaganda work, thoroughly disseminate legal regulations on thrift practice and anti-waste to all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers; raise awareness and personal responsibility, considering this as a criterion to assess the level of task completion of each collective and individual. Strengthen management and effective use of the state budget, strive for maximum savings; Review, update and perfect the Internal Spending Regulations, ensuring compliance with the actual situation and current regulations; tighten financial discipline, strengthen internal inspection and supervision, link the results of thrift practice with emulation and reward work, create motivation and encourage collectives and individuals to perform well their assigned tasks.

The implementation of thrift practice and anti-waste is regularly and seriously carried out by the Department of Agriculture and Environment, contributing to improving the efficiency of budget use, ensuring financial discipline and building a modern, transparent and thrifty public administration./.
