These days, hundreds of once lush green trees in the High-Tech Park, Thu Duc City (HCMC) have withered and become withered due to a grass fire on the afternoon of February 26.

A park located on D1 Street also had many trees withered. The two sections above, about 10,000 m2 wide, were affected by the grass fire.

Hundreds of trees were affected, including many species such as eucalyptus, royal poinciana, camphor... They were planted 3-4 years, even 10 years ago.

According to locals, the rows of trees that were planted straight and green before were withered by the fire.

The leader of Long Thanh My Ward People's Committee said that the above land is in the project planning so it is managed by the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park. The Management Board has hired another unit to plant trees.

These days, Ho Chi Minh City is entering a period of intense heat. The weather is not only uncomfortable but also directly affects health. In addition, this year's dry season is complicated with many risks of fire and explosion.

Recently, authorities have organized bush clearing and handled many spontaneous garbage dumps and dry grass fields, but the risk of fire is still latent.
