Iconic Cultural Heritage Works of Ho Chi Minh City

With a passion for history and national cultural heritage, Luu Phuong Truc devoted much effort to researching, compiling statistics and collecting documents on typical architectural works of Ho Chi Minh City - the largest city in Vietnam and a place that preserves and conserves many unique architectural and cultural marks through historical periods and events.

The book introduces three typical works: the City Museum, the Central Post Office , and the Independence Palace - symbols that are both familiar and contain cultural and historical depth. Each work is introduced with a general overview of its features, historical architectural beauty, current usage value, and timeless preservation process.

The interesting point of the work is that the author has made an effort to thoroughly research and present selected information in an easy-to-read manner about typical works. For example, at the City Museum (inaugurated in 1890), the book introduces each specialized room such as the Room of Nature - Archaeology, the Room of Commerce - Trade - Services, the Room of Industry - Handicrafts, the Room of Revolutionary Struggles from 1930 - 1954 and 1954 - 1975, the Room of Resistance Relics and the Room of Vietnamese Money.

The book is presented in a modern style, with many vivid color illustrations. These landmarks and constructions are familiar to the public through many generations, and contain cultural depth, history, and general development.
