Chinese businesses survey and explore investment opportunities in Quang Binh

(QBĐT) - On the afternoon of May 21, comrade Doan Ngoc Lam, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of relevant departments, branches and units, had a working session with a delegation of Chinese enterprises who came to survey and explore investment opportunities in the production and trading of pulp and paper.

The Chinese business delegation to Quang Binh this time is China C&D Group, founded in 1980, mainly operating in the fields of supply chain, urban construction and operation, tourism and exhibition, healthcare , and investment in emerging industries. Annual revenue is about 117 billion USD, with total assets of 100 billion USD. In addition, there is a member company Xiamen C&D Paper&Pulp Group, founded in 1992, which is a professional supply chain operator of pulp and paper in China.

During the meeting, the Chinese business delegation highly appreciated the potential and advantages of Quang Binh ; at the same time, they learned more about the geographical location, raw material areas, water sources, investment procedures, environmental regulations and investment incentives. On that basis, the enterprise has a plan to research, invest in production and trade of pulp and finished paper with a total investment of 2 billion USD on a planned land area of 400 hectares, divided into 3 phases.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Doan Ngoc Lam, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the Chinese business delegation to survey investment in Quang Binh. This demonstrates the interest and trust of Chinese businesses in the province's investment environment, opening up opportunities for cooperation between Chinese businesses and the province in the coming time.

He requested relevant departments and branches to continue to provide full relevant information, including preferential policies on investment in the field of pulp and paper production and trading that Chinese investors and enterprises desire; at the same time, assign the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to carry out zoning planning, build infrastructure at the land location selected by the investor, and soon put the project into implementation in the near future.

Previously, the Chinese business delegation surveyed the infrastructure of Cam Lien Industrial Park, Bang Industrial Park, the planned location of the Industrial Park in Quang Tien commune (Quang Trach) and visited Hon La Port.
