On the afternoon of August 21, the Ministry of Science and Technology announced that it had issued a dispatch to telecommunications enterprises requesting them to implement plans to enhance network security, prevent network congestion, and ensure service quality to serve the occasion of National Day, September 2.
Notably, the document requests network operators to prepare plans for incident handling, information response, and mutual response between businesses in the same area when necessary (roaming, sharing, shared infrastructure use, etc.) to ensure maximum response to emerging needs for telecommunications services of agencies, organizations, businesses and service users.
Strengthen communication security plans, develop specific plans, and arrange staff, civil servants, and workers to be on duty to ensure communication.
At the same time, deploy solutions to ensure network security; ensure smooth communication to serve the communication needs of state agencies, organizations, businesses and telecommunications service users.
Network operators increase the number of BTS vehicles in crowded areas, especially parades and marching areas, ready to supplement additional traffic, ensuring smooth communication without network congestion.
Network operators also need to coordinate with relevant units to promptly detect and prevent acts of taking advantage of telecommunications networks and the Internet to send and disseminate information with illegal content, spread destructive viruses; guide and warn users about acts of fraud and property appropriation in cyberspace...
