The Ministry of Science and Technology has just issued a document requesting telecommunications enterprises to strengthen plans to ensure smooth communication and no network congestion at events and crowded areas during the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (event A80).
The Ministry of Science and Technology has directed businesses to expand the capacity of transmission lines and bandwidth for domestic and international connections. Deploy mobile BTS vehicles, ready to handle incidents and respond to information. Businesses must coordinate to prevent and warn against acts of exploiting telecommunications networks to commit fraud and spread illegal information. Ensure security, safety, fire prevention, natural disasters, and rescue.
Telecommunications businesses must develop plans to expand transmission capacity and domestic and international connection bandwidth, ensuring that there is no network congestion at times when there is a large number of subscribers accessing the network.
It is necessary to increase the number of mobile BTS vehicles to crowded areas such as squares, parks, flower gardens, walking streets, fireworks display areas, etc., especially in areas where military parades and marches are held, to be ready to supplement the arising traffic, ensure smooth communication, no network congestion, and maximally meet the communication needs of telecommunications service users.

The Ministry of Science and Technology also directed units to prepare plans for handling incidents, information rescue, and mutual rescue between businesses in the same area when necessary, such as roaming, sharing, and shared infrastructure use, etc. to ensure maximum response to emerging needs for telecommunications services of agencies, organizations, businesses, and service users.
Coordinate with relevant units to promptly detect and prevent acts of taking advantage of telecommunications networks and the Internet to send and disseminate information with illegal content, and spread viruses that destroy electronic information portals/pages. Be ready to support, guide, and warn service users about fraudulent acts on the internet by subjects who take advantage of telecommunications networks to commit fraud and property appropriation in order to proactively prevent and avoid them.
It is expected that about 2.9 million people will flock to the parade area, of which about 900,000 will travel from other provinces and cities. Compared to normal days, people's needs will not only be surfing the web or watching movies, but also livestreaming, video calling, posting high-quality photos and videos.
Viettel said that Viettel has launched 500 new 5G BTS stations, and for the first time in Vietnam, 1,200 5G small cells have been deployed in crowded places. In addition, 700 temporary 4G stations and 25 mobile broadcasting vehicles have also been mobilized to serve the people on the occasion of the National Day on September 2.
Thus, with 1,700 large and small 5G stations newly installed to serve the Great Ceremony, Viettel 5G will cover all parade and march locations as well as celebratory events before National Day.
5G small stations deployed along the routes help increase Internet capacity and speed at crowded areas, sharing the load on the 4G network.
For the first time, Viettel has used AI to predict the future. Based on data from event schedules, flight tickets, hotel rooms, posts, and social media likes, Viettel engineers have used AI models to predict the most crowded locations, peak traffic times, and travel behavior. From there, network resources will be reasonably guaranteed.
Every 5 minutes, AI will automatically adjust the coverage area, directing the signal to the right place where users are, reducing interference in neighboring areas. In addition, when the broadcasting stations show signs of overload, the system will immediately redirect users to neighboring stations.
A representative of VNPT said that to enhance the capacity of VinaPhone mobile network in 10 key areas in Hanoi, where key activities such as military parades, marches and major art programs take place, VNPT has deployed 5,500 3G/4G/5G mobile broadcasting stations in Hanoi to serve customers.
In addition, VNPT has broadcast an additional 1,100 4G cells, deployed more mobile broadcasting vehicles at 106 locations and deployed the installation of IBS/smallcell systems at key locations such as the National Exhibition Center and Noi Bai Terminal T2.
MobiFone said it has deployed a series of advanced technology solutions to ensure communication service provision, optimize connection quality and bring the most advanced technology experiences.

With the deployment of the new generation 5G combined with AI, MobiFone's new technology is capable of forecasting and processing network traffic in real time, thereby helping to optimize hotspots, automatically adjust network parameters, help improve performance and minimize network congestion. In addition, MobiFone has also coordinated with Japanese network operator Rakuten to deploy the Open RAN 5G solution on the network to bring the best experience to customers.
Along with technological solutions, MobiFone has installed more than 200 mobile broadcasting stations at event venues, and mobilized hundreds of engineers and technical staff who are fully equipped and always on duty 24/7 at the scene, ensuring that telecommunications and Internet services are always uninterrupted during the Great Festival./.
