The workshop focused on discussing five main groups of issues:
Forecasting the domestic and international situation and context; advantages and disadvantages; opportunities and challenges arising from environmental pollution and climate change impacting Vietnam as it transitions its economic growth model towards double-digit growth targets.
Clarifying the role and driving force of science and technology in implementing green transformation: Technological breakthroughs serving green agriculture , clean industry, and renewable energy; application of artificial intelligence, big data, and digital transformation in monitoring resources, environment, and climate; the issue of developing and transferring environmentally friendly technologies - the role of research institutes, universities, and businesses.
Innovation ecosystem and institutions supporting green transformation: policy mechanisms to promote research, development, and application of green technologies; linkages between the State, scientists, businesses, and society in innovation and environmental technology; financial institutions, mobilization of social resources, etc.
Local, sectoral, and enterprise practices in implementing green transformation: Responding to climate change, transforming growth models, the role of enterprises in technological innovation, sustainable development investment; building model projects and sustainable high-tech zones.
Proposing key viewpoints, tasks, and solutions to accelerate the implementation of strategic breakthroughs in science and technology in accordance with Conclusion No. 81-KL/TW and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.

Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, delivered a speech at the seminar.
Delivering a keynote address at the workshop, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, affirmed that the development of science and technology and innovation are decisive factors and the foundation for Vietnam to achieve double-digit growth targets in the coming years; becoming a modern industrialized country by 2030 and a developed, high-income country by 2045. In particular, green transformation is a prerequisite for enhancing national competitiveness, meeting international standards, protecting the environment, and ensuring rapid and sustainable national development. Green transformation and sustainable development are not just strategic choices; they are a mandate of the times, a promise to history and future generations.
The opinions expressed at the workshop unanimously agreed that, for a truly effective and sustainable green transformation, a synchronized approach is needed in terms of institutions, policies, finance, science and technology, human resources, and social media. The role of businesses in researching, applying, and commercializing green technologies needs to be further strengthened; investment in basic science, core technologies, and digital transformation should be increased; and international cooperation in innovation, climate technology, renewable energy, and resource management should be promoted.

Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, research institutes, universities, and businesses shared many exemplary practical models in implementing green transformation programs, smart agriculture, clean industry, environmentally friendly high-tech zones, etc. These initiatives contribute to spreading the spirit of innovation, creativity, and the application of scientific knowledge to life, for the sustainable development of the country.
The opinions and discussions at the Conference will be compiled and refined by the Organizing Committee to make recommendations to the Party and State leaders on mechanisms and policies for the development of science, technology, and innovation to serve green transformation, contributing to the realization of the goal of a green, prosperous, and sustainable national development in the new era.
