On the evening of August 12, at Ho Tung Mau walking street (Vinh city), an art performance exchange program took place between Gwangju city (Korea) and Nghe An province.

At the program, conductor Chang Huyn Yong and musicians from the Asian Performing Arts Institute, Gwangju City performed a medley of some famous Western musical pieces such as: "I could have danced all night" (the melody of the song is from the famous musical "My Fair Lady" premiered in 1956); "Disney film Favorites" (a combination of familiar melodies from some classic Disney animations and movies).

In addition, there are also works: “Pirates of the Caribbean” (soundtrack of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean"); “Alte Kameraden swing” (song composed around 1889 by a German military musician Carl Teike); “Sing, sing, sing” (song with a typical melody of swing jazz, composed in 1936 by American trumpeter Louis Prima).

In addition, artists from the Asian Performing Arts Institute also collaborated with artists from the Nghe An Traditional Arts Center to perform the following songs: "Arirang Fantasy" (composed in 1970 by musician Choi Sung Hwan, inspired by Arirang - the most representative folk song of Korean history, culture and soul); "Light, water and Arirang song" (a work based on the sound and melody of Arirang combined with "Drifting water fern" - a unique Vietnamese folk song); "Butter" (a famous song by the BTS group that once caused a fever all over the world).

At the program, between the art performances were exchanges between the artists and the audience of Vinh city.

The program is one of the events in a series of cooperation and cultural diplomacy events between Gwangju city and Nghe An province, which is of great significance in contributing to the cultural and artistic connection between Nghe An province and Gwangju city in particular and the two countries of Vietnam and Korea in general.
