Recently, SVTECH cooperated with Stonebranch to organize the Workshop "Coordination and Automation of Core Banking System". The workshop was held to provide the latest information on automation solutions and optimization of the end-of-day closing (COB - Close of Business) operations of the Core Banking system.
Today, intelligent automation continues to develop at an unprecedented pace. This advanced technology has great potential to change the way organizations in various sectors, including banking, operate.
According to the latest reports from Gartner, by 2026, 30% of enterprises will automate more than half of their operational systems, up from less than 10% in mid-2023. By 2027, IT and operations leaders who focus on enterprise-wide automation will see double the value from their efforts to improve service quality and optimize costs.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Mr. Le Thanh Hai, Deputy General Director of SVTECH Company, said that Core Banking is the core system, the backbone of the bank. Therefore, data activities always need to be correct, accurate and timely.
COB closing at the end of the day is a very important operation. When operated by humans, COB will have delays and errors, so if used with an automatic tool, it will greatly support the operation of the core banking system.
At the workshop, the speakers also emphasized that automating the COB process brings many outstanding benefits, including saving time, minimizing human intervention, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. At the same time, monitoring, reporting progress and errors during the implementation process and promptly notifying the Core Banking support team when problems occur.
The solution also places special emphasis on the sustainability of automation, as it not only improves efficiency but also helps banks reduce energy consumption, save resources and achieve a long-term vision. This will contribute to improving the operational efficiency of banks.
