According to the announcement, the traffic ban will be in effect from 5:00 AM on January 9, 2026 to 5:00 AM on January 15, 2026. The road closure is to facilitate repairs and address the landslide at Km224+650 on the Prenn Pass, a location with a high risk of accidents following the impact of natural disasters and prolonged heavy rain.

This decision was made by the Department of Construction based on a proposal from the No. 1 Investment and Construction Project Management Board, after relevant agencies agreed on the construction organization plan and traffic diversion. Prenn Pass is a vital transportation route connecting the old center of Da Lat City with National Highway 20, with a high volume of traffic, so addressing the landslide was identified as an urgent requirement to ensure long-term safety.

During the traffic ban, people and vehicles traveling from the old central area of Da Lat city to neighboring localities and vice versa are advised to proactively choose alternative routes such as Mimosa Pass on National Highway 20 or Sacom Pass (Tuyen Lam Lake). According to authorities, these routes are currently operating stably, meeting the travel needs of residents and tourists.

At the same time, the Department of Construction requested the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police and the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat to coordinate support, strengthen patrols and controls, and promptly handle any arising situations, contributing to keeping traffic on the alternative routes smooth and safe throughout the repair period of Prenn Pass.
