At the meeting, leaders of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports (Standing Agency of the Hanoi City Organizing Committee) reported on preparations for the celebration (event A80).

Following the direction of the Central and the city, specialized subcommittees, departments, branches and sectors have deployed plans for parades, marches, preparation of facilities, logistics, security and order, traffic, environmental sanitation, healthcare , reception, propaganda... Basically, the tasks have ensured progress according to the Central's Project and the plan of the City People's Committee.

The city has completed the installation of a loudspeaker system for parades and marches, with a total of 665 loudspeakers. Traffic diversion and the organization and management of crowded events are planned in detail to avoid congestion and ensure the safety of forces and people participating in commemorative activities throughout the city, especially in areas where the main activities take place.

Seriously organizing to draw experience from 2 days of general training, the City Police and the Capital Command closely coordinated with functional forces to promptly and fully deploy plans to ensure absolute security and safety, promptly handling violations such as: illegal parking, arranging chairs and spreading tarpaulins to reserve seats for profit, or using fake delegate cards...

At the same time, the authorities propagate and remind people to comply with regulations and have standard exchange activities with the parade and marching forces, without affecting the performance of duties, including supporting the elderly, veterans, children, and the disadvantaged to watch the parade and march smoothly and safely...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh commended and acknowledged the units' efforts and determination in performing their tasks for the recent general training and preliminary review sessions, as well as the preparations for the upcoming rehearsal day and September 2nd Celebration.

Emphasizing the 80th National Day Celebration on September 2 with a huge workload due to the large number of guests and delegates attending, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh requested the subcommittees to focus on completing tasks, from security to reception, logistics, healthcare, environmental sanitation; arranging invitations and security cards for the right subjects, in which priority is given to the plan for delegations from provinces and cities to go to Hanoi by shared car...

In particular, to ensure the safety of the event, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee requested relevant units to strictly control and absolutely prohibit the use of hydrogen-inflated balloons in areas where parades and marches take place.

Localities continue to coordinate well with the City Police and the Capital Command to effectively deploy plans to divert and regulate traffic, regulate the flow of people (priority given to people with meritorious services and the elderly); ensure security and order in areas with parade forces, parades at rehearsals and celebrations.

Along with that, the units strengthen information and propaganda to local residents and tourists to practice civilized lifestyles, be aware of environmental hygiene; strictly comply with traffic laws and absolutely comply with the direction of functional forces when participating in commemorative activities.../.
