TPO - With a length of nearly 1 km over the irrigation reservoir, the bridge on the North-South expressway section through Yen My lake (Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa) is the bridge with the longest length over the lake on
the Hanoi - Thanh Hoa section.

| As a category of package XL03 of the North-South expressway component project, section QL45 - Nghi Son ( Thanh Hoa ), the expressway bridge over Yen My lake has been basically completed and is completing the final stages. |

| The bridge is 984 meters long (the longest overpass on the North-South Expressway, Hanoi - Thanh Hoa section), spanning Yen My irrigation lake with a depth of 19 meters, providing water for production and farming for the entire Nghi Son economic zone and some communes of Nong Cong district. |

| The bridge has a total investment of 240 billion VND. Once opened, the bridge will help the North-South expressway to the section passing Yen My Lake in Nong Cong district without having to take a detour of dozens of kilometers. |

| The bridge is divided into 2 investment phases. Phase 1 (currently) is built with reinforced concrete with 22 spans on the right side of the route. The cross-section width of the bridge is 16.5 meters, equivalent to 4 lanes, 2 lanes in each direction. |

| Talking to PV Tien Phong , Mr. Pham Van Duyet - Vinaconex Corporation, representative of the bridge construction contractor consortium, said that after nearly 2 years of construction, the bridge across Yen My lake has completed the main items. |

| Currently, construction units are completing the final work, including preparing the asphalt pavement, with the goal of completing the bridge before August 30, 2023. |

| The bridge is located next to the dam that regulates water for production and prevents floods in Nong Cong and part of Nghi Son town. |

| The bridge is also a "connecting shore" that helps two locations, Nong Cong district and Nghi Son town, travel easily. |
The 43.2 km long National Highway 45 - Nghi Son project was started by the Ministry of Transport on July 1, 2021, and is scheduled to be completed by September 2, 2023. The route has a total investment of VND 8,380 billion - budget money. After the project is completed, vehicles traveling North-South through Thanh Hoa will travel entirely on the highway. The Yen My Lake overpass project has a cost of VND 240 billion, belonging to the XL03 package.
