In particular, the situation of many roads in the inner city of Can Tho being deeply flooded after heavy rains causing traffic congestion in recent times has been of great concern to the Department. Regarding this issue, the Examination Council of the Department of Education and Training has closely coordinated with the departments (Construction, Science - Technology, Health) and sectors (police, city military command, districts) to promptly handle situations that cause obstacles and delays during the exam.
Currently, the examination sites have developed plans to protect against rain and storms. Support for picking up and helping candidates travel safely on the day of the exam has also been calculated. For candidates living far away, the examination sites organize free lunches and arrange accommodation near the examination sites to create the best conditions for candidates to take the exam. The office and examination sites also set up hotlines to record and handle emergency situations.

Regarding the possibility of "heavy rain and flooded roads", the Examination Paper Transport Board has developed a plan and route to deliver the examination papers along the most convenient routes, ensuring the handover of the examination papers on time. Meanwhile, the Examination Council of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City closely coordinated with the city police force to monitor, escort, and transport the examination papers using specialized vehicles that are covered and can move in conditions of heavy rain and flooded roads.
The handover of exam papers at the examination sites will be witnessed by the head of the examination site, the police, and the representative of the inspection team authorized by the Ministry of Education and Training. After receiving the handover, the head of the examination site, the police, and the secretary will seal the cabinet containing the exam papers. As for the transportation of exam papers from the examination sites to the Examination Council of the Department of Education and Training, the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in the districts will arrange vehicles to transport the exam papers and the police will escort the exam papers to ensure safety.
During the recent inspection, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, assessed that the steering committees of localities and schools selected to host the exam sites had made thorough preparations for the 2025 high school graduation exam. However, Ms. Diep also noted that from now until the exam day, units need to continue to prepare the best conditions and resources to serve the exam to ensure compliance with regulations.
Parents accompany students
Not only theeducation sector, families and parents are also closely accompanying the candidates. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue Chi, a parent whose child is studying in grade 12 in O Mon District, said that this is an important and stressful exam, especially for the first batch of students studying under the new general education program. Therefore, right after finishing grade 12, her son has intensified his review with high study intensity. The family tries to keep the atmosphere comfortable, not putting pressure on the score, but only hopes that the child will take the exam calmly and do well.
Similarly, Ms. Vo Thi Muoi (residing in Ninh Kieu District) shared: "Exam stress is already high, parents need to be a spiritual support for their children, instead of forcing them. My whole family is anxiously counting the days, but the most important thing is still the health and confidence of the children."

Meanwhile, from the first days of exam preparation to the "sprint" period before the high school graduation exam, Mr. Tran Hoang Long (whose son is studying in grade 12 at a high school in Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City) and his wife have always been by his side, accompanying his son both mentally and in daily life. He also asked for 2 days off to be able to accompany his son during this important exam.
"My son wants to go to medical school, so the pressure of studying and competing is huge. My wife and I understand that, so we spend more time listening, encouraging and creating a comfortable mindset for him. I took 2 days off so I could directly accompany him during these important exam days," Long confided.
With the proactive and careful preparation from all levels and sectors, along with the support of families, the 2025 high school graduation exam in Can Tho City is expected to take place safely and effectively, creating favorable conditions for students to successfully complete the important journey of their school years.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will officially take place from June 25 to 28. Can Tho City has more than 13,700 candidates registered for the exam, of which 459 candidates follow the 2006 general education program, the rest are candidates studying under the new 2018 program.
