Nearly 150 island students cross the sea to take the 2025 high school graduation exam

(Dan Tri) - Many students in Hon Tre, Lai Son and An Son communes (Kien Hai district, Kien Giang) boarded a speedboat today, traveling more than 100km by sea to take the 2025 high school graduation exam.

On the afternoon of June 24, 142 high school students from Hon Tre, Lai Son and An Son communes (Kien Hai district, Kien Giang province) crossed the sea to Rach Gia city to attend the 2025 High School Graduation Exam. More than 10 officers and soldiers of Kien Giang Provincial Police were present to support and ensure the safety of the students.

Many specialized vehicles of Kien Giang Provincial Police were mobilized to take students to their accommodations near the exam location.

Most of the students come from island communes that face difficulties in transportation. However, they still arrive at the exam site one day in advance to prepare with a relaxed spirit and high determination, ready for the important exam.

Mr. Vo Nam Du - Teacher of An Son Secondary School - said that An Son has 32 candidates taking the exam. To encourage the students, the school has mobilized donors to support transportation costs for those in difficult circumstances.

Lieutenant Colonel Truong Van Quoc - Head of the Youth Department of Kien Giang Provincial Police - said that the unit has planned to support candidates taking the 2025 high school graduation exam.

"Without family nearby, students will face many difficulties and pressures. With the spirit of "whatever is needed, the youth will be there, whatever is difficult, the youth will be there", we, the police officers and soldiers, will always be there to support and encourage students to achieve the best exam results," said Lieutenant Colonel Quoc.

Also this afternoon, the authorities transported many boxes of 2025 high school graduation exam questions onto a speedboat to Phu Quoc, ensuring that the exam organization in Phu Quoc City goes smoothly.

According to the Departmentof Education and Training of Kien Giang province, the whole province has about 15,676 candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam in 2025, with 30 exam sites, 687 official exam rooms, 60 backup rooms and 35 waiting rooms. Phu Quoc city alone has 1,335 candidates taking the exam at 3 exam sites: Duong Dong High School, An Thoi High School and Phu Quoc High School.
