Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides said on September 25 that the United States and France are trying to reach a temporary agreement to end hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon with the aim of opening wider diplomatic talks. The Israeli military announced that it had attacked more than 2,000 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in the past three days. The Islamic Resistance Movement militia in Iraq said its UAVs had targeted Eilat in Israel on September 25.
