On the afternoon of October 23, Tan Lap residential group, Thuan An ward ( Hue city) was covered by water due to high tides and heavy rain. Many roads leading to this area were flooded more than 1 meter deep, flooding into people's houses, disrupting daily life. People were forced to use small boats to travel and buy food and necessities.
Currently, the local government has assigned and arranged shock troops to help people raise their properties and guide the elderly and children to evacuate to a safe place.






On the same day, Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, inspected and recorded the landslide situation on the road to Tan An Hai village, Phu Loc commune to have timely and urgent instructions to limit erosion, landslides and the risk of isolating residential areas.
At the time of inspection, the road leading to Tan An Hai village, Phu Loc commune, was seriously eroded due to sea erosion, nearly 500m long. 63 households with a total of 190 people in Tan An Hai village are at risk of being isolated if the erosion continues.
Local authorities have installed warning signs and assigned forces to be on duty along the landslide-prone road to ensure people's safety when traveling.
Mr. Hoang Hai Minh requested that localities should not be subjective or negligent, but should closely follow the actual situation to promptly handle any arising situations. Focus on mobilizing resources to carry out emergency handling, reinforcement, and initial landslide prevention; strengthen information and communication so that people know about the risks and developments of landslides, and proactively take preventive and response measures.
At the same time, the leaders of Phu Loc Commune People's Committee are requested to quickly count and report the damage and urgently reinforce. Hue City People's Committee will issue a decision to declare a natural disaster emergency to quickly overcome this landslide, ensuring the safety of people and the road into the village.




Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh inspected some landslides on O Lau River in Phong Dinh Ward. At the same time, he noted that the locality should consider proposing to fix suitable landslides, urgent locations should be proposed first, and necessary but not urgent locations should be included in the plan and project to have a long-term solution.
