On the afternoon of October 24, at the headquarters of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 31 under the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC-CNCH), Ho Chi Minh City Police held a ceremony to commend the forces: Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 31, CC and CNCH Team 1, Ben Cat Ward Police and grassroots security and order forces.



At the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Huy Van, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police; Lieutenant Colonel Bui Trung Hieu, Deputy Head of Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ms. Tran Thi Thao, Chairwoman of Ben Cat Ward People's Committee presented flowers to commend the collectives and individuals who had bravely taken action, not afraid of danger to save people in the early morning rain of October 23.


Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Huy Van, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, praised the sense of responsibility, positivity and bravery in saving people of the groups and individuals.



Lieutenant Colonel Phan Huy Van hopes that collectives and individuals will set an example in the spirit of "Forgetting oneself for the people, sacrificing for the people", and continue to achieve more outstanding achievements in the work of preventing and fighting natural disasters, ensuring security and order, for the security of the Fatherland, for the peaceful and happy life of the people.


Previously, after the heavy rain on the night of October 22 and early morning of October 23, many households in Ben Cat and Long Nguyen wards were affected. The total property damage was estimated at about 150 million VND. Ben Cat ward leaders also visited, encouraged, gave gifts and shared with the affected households.
On the afternoon of October 23, Lieutenant General Mai Hoang, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, sent a letter of commendation and commendation to the rescue work of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 31, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team 1), Ben Cat Ward Police, grassroots security and order forces, and the Military Command who, despite the danger, bravely rescued 127 people to safety during the heavy rain that caused flooding, threatening the lives of people in Ben Cat Ward.
