Tax officers guide taxpayers to use Etax Mobile application

Accordingly, the subjects impersonating tax authorities send invitations asking taxpayers to come to work and provide important information such as: citizen identification, business registration certificate, tax registration certificate, related contracts... Requesting to update business and personal information on fake links to serve inspection, examination or VAT refund work to steal taxpayer information.

The fake documents and invitations often lack legal elements, are presented in an incorrect format, have watermarks or are unclear. The links provided by the subjects have strange domain names, not from the official domain names of the tax authorities (gdt.gov.vn). The fake websites have an interface similar to the electronic information pages of the General Department of Taxation or official agencies, but often have spelling errors, inconsistent layouts, and no network credit certificates...

The Provincial Tax Department emphasizes: The tax authority only works with taxpayers directly at the tax authority or by contacting them via the official phone number. Taxpayers do not provide personal information, tax codes, electronic transaction accounts, money, assets, etc. via phone, email, social networks, websites of unknown origin or other media. If receiving a call with signs of fraud, taxpayers need to save evidence such as: Text messages or call recordings, report to the telecommunications company managing the subscriber to request handling, and at the same time provide available evidence to the nearest police and tax authorities to request handling of violations, protect the legitimate rights and interests of taxpayers, the reputation and honor of tax officials and tax authorities.
