Coast Guard awards scholarships to poor children who overcome difficulties and study well

Representatives of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command awarded scholarships to poor and excellent students in Ba Ria City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province.

Participating in the contest were more than 7,800 secondary school students from 11 schools in Ba Ria city in the form of an online contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands".

In the final round, student Nguyen Duc Anh (class 6A1, Nguyen Thanh Dang Secondary School, Ba Ria City) excelled over 99 contestants to win first prize in the final round.

On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 awarded 80 scholarships, worth 1 million VND each, and 20 bicycles to disadvantaged students who have achieved excellent academic results in Ba Ria City.

Previously, in Binh Thuan province, the Coast Guard Region 3 Command coordinated with the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee to organize the final round of the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" 2024 with the participation of 100 excellent students in Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.

In addition to the awards, the Coast Guard Region 3 Command awarded 60 scholarships worth 1 million VND each to disadvantaged students with excellent academic performance and 15 bicycles to students with especially difficult circumstances in Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.
