When asked about the quality of naturalized Malaysian players being better than Vietnamese players, Quang Vinh shared his opinion: “I don’t think so. They are good players, but so are we. The problem lies in the fighting spirit. The Vietnamese team needs to be more aggressive when competing for the ball.”
Losing 0-4 in the first leg, the Vietnamese team is facing difficulties in the race for the only ticket to continue in Group F. However, the defender of the Hanoi Police Club is still optimistic: "We still have a chance. There are many matches ahead, including the match against Malaysia at home. We try to win each match. Let's wait and see what happens."
Previously, coach Kim Sang Sik had some comments about the loss of the Vietnamese team, he said: "The Vietnamese team lost but I think the players played their best. Football rarely goes according to plan.
Although they still have shortcomings, we still have time and will try our best to prepare well for the next match. I know that both the players and Vietnamese football fans are feeling very disappointed because of this unexpected defeat. I realize my responsibility as a head coach.
I think we need to accept the fact that the Malaysian team is stronger thanks to the new naturalized players. But football always has room for miracles to happen. If we prepare well for the return match, the Vietnamese team still has a chance."
