Recently, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province - Cao Thi Thanh discussed: Of the total of about 80,000 hectares of rubber planted in Lam Dong, the majority is smallholder rubber. According to the assessment, rubber is grown mainly on unsuitable land, with a business cycle of only 6 years, so economic efficiency is low. Currently, 1 hectare of rubber brings in an income of 23 - 35 million VND, lower than other crops.

Therefore, allowing the conversion of rubber growing land to investment purposes in industrial parks and industrial clusters according to planning or adjusting and supplementing planning and plans for using rubber growing land to industrial park and industrial cluster land will be more effective.
