The thousand-year-old banyan tree has the most majestic shape in Vietnam.

Viewing the heritage banyan tree from many angles, whether the canopy with the sun shining, or the roots accumulating thousands of years of sediment, or the carpet of yellow banyan leaves spreading evenly on the ground, all leave an unforgettable feeling for locals and tourists.

The nearly 1,000-year-old banyan tree is located in Sub-area 63, Son Tra Nature Reserve (on Son Tra Peninsula, Tho Quang Ward, Da Nang City). In 2014, after being determined by scientists to be about 800 years old, in June 2014, this banyan tree was officially included in the Heritage Tree System of Vietnam and is the first heritage tree of Da Nang City.

Son Tra banyan tree is commonly known as high mountain banyan, belongs to the Mulberry family, is 22m high, has a main trunk circumference and secondary trunk cluster of more than 85m long.
