Emotional farewell at HAGL
On the evening of June 22, after the match between HAGL and Quang Nam ended, the four stars of the mountain town team, including Tran Minh Vuong, Chau Ngoc Quang, Dung Quang Nho and Tran Bao Toan, said goodbye to HAGL fans.
All 4 players grew up in HAGL's nursery, then were promoted to the first team and have been with the Pleiku team for many years.

Among them, Minh Vuong has been with HAGL for 18 years. The midfielder born in 1995 spent 7 years in the gifted class, and 11 years playing in the V-League. Throughout his entire youth career, Minh Vuong has been with HAGL.
In fact, Minh Vuong had the opportunity to leave HAGL to move to a first-class team in the middle of this season. However, after being persuaded by the team's leadership, the 30-year-old player agreed to stay and help HAGL stay in the league before parting ways.
That is also the way the players of the 1995 - 1996 generation, the generation of players who were trained thoroughly and given the opportunity to play in the V-League when they were very young, repay the kindness of HAGL and Mr. Duc.
Although there was no title during 8 years of playing together in V-League, the players of course 1, 2 and the gifted class of HAGL have tried to leave a good image.
The leading position in V-League 2021, along with the resilient matches with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Yokohama F. Marinos and Sydney FC in AFC Champions League 2022 are still unforgettable memories for the children that Mr. Duc took care of years ago.
New Horizons
But, every party has to end. Minh Vuong, Ngoc Quang, Quang Nho and Bao Toan all chose to leave to have new motivation and ambition in their careers.
After the "missed" glory in 2021 (V-League was canceled when HAGL was still leading), the Pleiku home team has gone back to the starting line.

For many years, HAGL has been in a relegation race, just like the difficult and unstable period of 2015 - 2019. In the last two seasons, HAGL had to wait anxiously until the final rounds to be sure of staying in the V-League.
Minh Vuong's exclamation "spending all of his youth to stay in the league" summarizes the regrets for a generation of talented players, but having to wear shirts that are too tight.
Leaving is the right choice to save the careers of Minh Vuong and Ngoc Quang, so that at least in their final years of playing football, these players can find an ambitious club that wants to fight for a position in the top group.
Look at how Nguyen Van Toan, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Nguyen Phong Hong Duy have flourished at Nam Dinh Club with 3 championships (2 V-League, 1 National Super Cup) in just 2 years at Nam Dinh Club.
Vu Van Thanh moved to Hanoi Police Club and also won the 2023 V-League championship and the runner-up position in ASEAN Club Championship. Nguyen Cong Phuong and Luong Xuan Truong have not won any titles yet, but they play for teams that dare to invest and have a clear direction.
According to Thanh Nien Newspaper, Minh Vuong is looking to Binh Phuoc Club to reunite with Cong Phuong, Ngoc Quang may choose Ha Tinh Club, and Bao Toan and Quang Nho also have their own plans for the future.
Choosing the right destination, Minh Vuong and his teammates will still have a promising horizon. Because besides proven ability, rich experience and good thinking, this generation of players also has plenty of determination.
This group of players deserves a milestone in the rest of their careers.
