Illegal animal fat processing facility discovered

Da Nang authorities have just discovered and destroyed about 500kg of animal fat, 30 bags of 50kg fat, and 80 bags of illegally produced finished fat.

Accordingly, on November 15, Hoa Tien Commune Police ( Da Nang City) coordinated with the Commune People's Committee to discover a large-scale illegal animal fat processing facility in the area.

The force suddenly inspected this facility (in Phu Son Nam village), owned by a man residing in Xuan Phu commune, Da Nang city.

Through that, 3 workers were discovered processing animal fat in conditions that did not ensure food hygiene and safety.

At the scene, authorities discovered a large quantity of raw and finished fat, including about 500kg of animal fat, 30 50kg bags of fat, 80 bags of finished fat, along with many production equipment such as grinders, presses, large metal pots and tools for cooking fat.

Currently, the authorities have drawn up a record, destroyed all the violating fat and temporarily detained the exhibits and vehicles to continue verifying and handling according to the provisions of law.
