In order to promote the entrepreneurial spirit among students, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) has organized many activities to equip them with knowledge and skills to help them confidently realize their startup ideas and projects.

Students are excited

In 2023, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs organized 11 conferences and talks on startups, attracting 2,340 students and more than 70 managers, teachers and lecturers from colleges and vocational schools in the province to participate.

At the conference, experts, speakers, and business representatives shared a panoramic view of the startup wave in Vietnam and imparted useful knowledge about startups. In addition, students also met and exchanged with representatives of successful startups in the fields of industry, agriculture , and logistics.

Also at this forum, students learned a number of topics on: Building business plans and strategies; skills to convince investors; forms of capital mobilization for startups; market research and analysis.

On the staff and teachers side, they are guided in evaluating business ideas and opportunities; legal issues in starting a business; market research and analysis; brand building when starting a business...

Students of Dak Lak Medical College asked questions at the 2023 Startup Propaganda and Talk Conference.

With an open and eager-to-learn spirit, students sent many questions to the Organizing Committee, such as: Should we start a business while still a student?, After graduating, should students start a business or a career?, What are the current policies to support young entrepreneurs?, What products should we start a business with?, How to find and implement ideas when starting a business?, Conditions and experiences for a successful start-up?...

All the concerns and worries of students about innovative startups in the 4.0 era were shared and thoroughly answered by experts, speakers, and business representatives. In addition, students also shared their experiences and lessons learned from the “hard-won” startup journey of the experts, speakers, and business representatives themselves. These are practical issues that any young startup must “face” on the path to starting a business.

Pham Thi Hau, a Nursing student at Dak Lak Medical College, said that students today have many concerns and worries about starting a business, but most projects when they first start encounter difficulties, challenges, and even failures. She hopes that the school and relevant agencies will organize many activities, programs, and competitions on starting a business... so that we can be inspired and have the opportunity to connect with individuals and organizations with a lot of experience in the business field, thereby adding motivation, confidence, and gradually perfecting our own startup ideas.

Together we promote the spirit of entrepreneurship

When starting a business, students will certainly face many challenges and difficulties such as: lack of capital to develop businesses, products, and technological innovation; lack of general knowledge, such as people who are good at their profession have limited knowledge of business management; or people who are good at calculating investments lack specialized and technical knowledge. In addition, they also lack awareness of building business and personal brands to increase consumer confidence.

Accompanying vocational school students in creative startups, this year, for the first time, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs decided to organize a conference to promote and talk about startups. "Organizing startup support programs will help students nurture their entrepreneurial spirit from an early age. Thereby, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to confidently start a business while minimizing risks and failures," said Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoai, Director of PCA Productivity Training Academy, shares his startup experience with students.

Encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit of young start-ups, experts and speakers said that to start a business, create successfully, and bring value to life, it is not necessary to start a business with too big ideas. Vocational school students can start from the things around them to discover many useful ideas and initiatives that are suitable for their own abilities and what society is lacking. One of the urgent requirements today is to raise the awareness of entrepreneurship among students.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoai, Director of PCA Productivity Training Academy (Buon Ma Thuot City) shared: “I am very excited to be an inspiration for the young generation on their entrepreneurial journey. Through participating in propaganda conferences and talks on entrepreneurship organized by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, I see that young people in Dak Lak province are very intelligent and have many creative ideas. What they are lacking is a startup ecosystem and the support and companionship of organizations and units. If they are supported right from the beginning and given timely support, I believe that their projects and startup ideas will be successful.”

To "give wings" to vocational school students to start their own businesses, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will continue to coordinate with vocational training institutions in the province to establish startup clubs, thereby replicating many creative ideas of students. Continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to organize a startup festival, honoring effective startup project ideas that have many contributions to society. At the same time, coordinate with businesses to create startup capital so that students have funds to invest in startup ideas and projects.
