Attending and speaking at the opening ceremony of the new school year of Vi Thanh High School for the Gifted, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee Dong Van Thanh suggested that the school needs to thoroughly grasp and well implement 12 groups of tasks and key solutions for the 2024-2025 school year.
In particular, building a team of teachers and educational managers who are truly exemplary, role models for students to follow; promoting education on revolutionary ideals, political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, life skills, professional skills, and employment for students.
Schools need to pay attention to innovating educational management, promoting democracy in school governance, ensuring fairness in access to education for all subjects; enhancing innovation in teaching methods and positive assessment and evaluation towards developing students' qualities and abilities.
Maximize the initiative and flexibility in implementing the school's educational program and the autonomy and creativity of professional groups and teachers.

At the same time, strengthen coordination between schools, parents and relevant local agencies and organizations in the process of implementing educational plans.
This new school year, Hau Giang mobilized 154,990 students to go to class. Of which, preschool and kindergarten are 27,700 children, primary school is 62,800 students, middle school is 44,620 students and high school is 19,870 students.
To ensure facilities for the new school year, more than 115 schools have invested in new construction, upgrading and repairing some items with a total cost of more than 60 billion VND. In addition, from savings, most schools in the province have proactively made minor repairs to serve the new school year.
