Chau Doc launches a campaign to encourage people to practice swimming to prevent drowning

On the morning of June 10, the People's Committee of Chau Doc City organized a ceremony to launch the nationwide swimming practice to prevent drowning in 2025. Local leaders, departments, branches, ward levels and a large number of secondary school students in the city attended.

At the ceremony, the Chau Doc City Culture, Sports and Broadcasting Center affirmed that swimming is a water sport that is being strongly developed in the locality. In recent years, the city has implemented the Swimming Popularization Program quite well, contributing to reducing drowning accidents for children in rivers, canals and areas with frequent floods.

The launching ceremony aims to raise awareness and responsibility of the whole society for the work of protecting, caring for andeducating children; mobilizing the whole population to actively practice swimming, improve health, stature, physical strength, and prevent and fight diseases. At the same time, equipping knowledge and skills to prevent and rescue drowning for children in particular and the community in general.

On this occasion, Cam Loan Construction and Tourism Services Company Limited coordinated to organize the launching ceremony; supporting 50% of ticket price for all students attending the ceremony.
