Big fire at chemical factory of nearly 1,000 m2

On the evening of November 26, Hai Phong City Police informed that in the afternoon of the same day, Information Center 114 under Department PC07 (Hai Phong City Police) received a report from people about a fire at a chemical warehouse at An Trang intersection, An Lao district, Hai Phong city.

Based on information from the 114 Duty Team, the PC07 leader reported to the Hai Phong City Police Department and directed the mobilization: An Lao District Police sent 1 fire truck; KV2 Team of PC07 Department sent 2 fire trucks; Kien An District Police sent 1 fire truck; Tien Lang District Police sent 1 fire truck; Team 4 of PC07 Department sent 1 command car to the scene to coordinate with other forces to organize fire fighting and rescue.

Upon arriving at the scene, the fire commander directed the organization of reconnaissance, information gathering, fire situation, and water source reconnaissance. Initial results showed that the fire occurred in the warehouse area of Quang Vinh Production and Trading Company Limited, black smoke covered most of the warehouse area, the main combustible materials were toluene, plastic beads, glue, rubber... the fire area was about 400 m2 (warehouse area was about more than 900 m2). At the same time, the forces were organized to deploy fire fighting, rescue and relief teams.

The firefighting forces promptly extinguished the fire, preventing the explosive chemical drums from spreading, preventing damage to surrounding residential areas and affecting the environment. The fire caused 3/4 of the warehouse roof to collapse, fortunately there were no human casualties.

According to Nguoi Dua Tin 's source, the warehouse that caught fire belongs to Quang Vinh Company Limited and has stopped operating since November 2022. From November 1, 2023, Mr. Tran Duc Huy, Director of Quang Vinh Production and Trading Company Limited, sent Mr. Bui Van Tao, born in 1987, registered permanent residence in Dong Minh commune, Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong city, Director of NaChuan Vietnam New Materials Company Limited, some goods including plastic beads, toluene solvents, and silene contained in barrels.

Currently, Hai Phong City authorities are verifying and investigating the cause of the fire .
