On May 26, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07, Ho Chi Minh City Police) coordinated with Tan Phu District Police to investigate a house fire that left one person dead and one person burned.

Earlier, at around 2:45 a.m. the same day, people discovered a fire coming from a house in an alley on To Hieu Street (Hiep Tan Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City) and shouted. Some people used water and fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.

The house contained many flammable objects, so the fire broke out fiercely. Many people living nearby were afraid of the fire spreading so they tried to move to a safe area.

Upon receiving the news, PC07 Department mobilized 7 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to put out the fire. At 3:18 a.m. the same day, the authorities completely extinguished the fire.

The fire killed Mr. TCC (born in 1958) and burned Mrs. NTHN (born in 1963) and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. The fire also destroyed many properties.
