At the Women's Volleyball World Championship, Vietnam is in Group G, with the presence of Poland, Germany and Kenya. The matches of this group will take place at the Phuket Municipal Stadium, Phuket Province (Thailand).
Although it is the smallest stadium of the four stadiums chosen by host Thailand, the stadium here still has a capacity of up to 3,337 seats.
And the day before the match between Poland and Vietnam, all tickets to the match were sold out.
There are 5 ticket prices for 2 matches in Group G (buying 1 ticket will allow you to watch both matches, including the Germany - Kenya match at 5pm). The highest ticket price is 4,000 baht, about 3.2 million VND. The lowest ticket price is 300 baht, about 240,000 VND.
On the morning of August 22, some seats in the C stand (priced at around 900 baht) were still available. But by evening, all the tickets had been sold out.
However, it is possible that fans who want to go to the stadium to watch the match can still buy tickets on the black market, or buy them from other fans.
On volleyball forums, many Vietnamese fans said they would follow the team to cheer, because the distance between Vietnam and Phuket is quite close (only about 1,000km as the crow flies), and the ticket prices are not expensive.
This is also an opportunity for Vietnamese volleyball fans to admire the strongest women's volleyball teams in the world.
In Vietnam's group, both Poland (ranked 3rd in the world) and Germany (ranked 11th) are powerful teams, possessing many top-class stars.
Vietnam's second match in Group G will take place at 5pm on August 25, against Germany. And the match against Kenya will take place at 5pm on August 27.
